The HHS Ruling - It's about Religious Liberty

Ultimately, the question of the HHS ruling is NOT a question of the morality of birth control and abortion. Neither is it a question of whether or not these should be covered by health insurance.

It is a question of First Amendment Rights.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;"

The government has ABSOLUTELY not right to tell any religious group that it MUST pay for those things which it considers to be contrary to its teaching. To do so is prohibiting the free exercise of religion.

One is never forced to work for the Catholic Church. If one wishes to have this coverage, one can look for other employment.

Today, in an inept attempt at removing the issue, President Obama proposed shifting the responsibility to the Insurance Companies.

Referral is Not the Answer, Rescinding the Mandate Is
